Club Canine

Club Canine's Day Spa offers luxury grooming services to members and guests. We listen to your preferences and do our best to groom your dog the way you like. Our professional grooming staff will spend as much time as it takes to make your dog's grooming experience as stress free as possible. We groom dogs in three phases, allowing for play, potty and rest breaks in between each phase. The first phase includes the prep work. We'll brush, clip and prepare your dog for the tub. In the next phase, we'll bathe your dog using all natural shampoos and conditioners. The final phase includes styling your dog's hair and adding finishing touches to his or her look, including, nail polish, bows, or a bandana. Or, if you prefer, we will pick something from our designer boutique for to complete your dog's day of pampering.

You may chose one of the following bathing treatments for an additional fee:

Perfect for the dog who has sensitive skin and allergies, this bath includes use of one of our all natural shampoos containing oatmeal and lavender. This comfort package is completed with a lavender and peppermint spritz once your dog is fully groomed.

If your dog's skin and coat are dull and need a bit of RENEWING, we'll chose a specially formulated shampoo containing White tea and Vanilla to nourish and re-hydrate your dog's skin and coat. A naturally scented vanilla spritz will complete your dog's groom.

If extra deep CONDITIONING is in order for your dog's damaged coat, we'll use a Fur Butter formula which repairs dry, damaged coats and decreases shedding. This treatment will leave your dog's coat silky soft and shiny.

During shedding season or anytime your dog needs to shed large amounts of excess hair, you may want to consider the FURminator treatment. Enriched Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids help enrich your dog's skin and gives your dog a shiny top coat. Dogs with long or short coats will benefit from this product. This three step process dramatically reduces shedding.

We use Oxyfresh Pet Gel to clean your dog's teeth and gums. Oxyfresh's Pet Gel is a soothing blend of Oxygene® with Aloe Vera to heal, condition, and deodorize your pet's mouth. The exclusive Oxygene® formula neutralizes the germs that cause bad breath with a powerful, non-toxic oxidization process that works like nothing else to completely eliminate odors at their source.

Our Promise
We promise to handle your dog with care and respect. We will never yell at, hit, shake, or “string” your dog up by a lead. (Yes, there are groomers who use these techniques. We do not.) Some dogs simply do not care for the grooming process, especially if they are not groomed regularly and have not had time to build a bond and trust with a groomer. We make every effort to ease fears, but in some cases, it is not easy. We are more successful if you fulfill your responsibilities.

We promise to give each dog equal amount of time making his or her grooming experience as stress free as possible.

Your Responsibilities
Your pet's safety and comfort are our primary concern. Please advise us of any allergies, sensitivities or pre-existing medical conditions that your pets have. Also let us know of past negative grooming experiences your dog may have had. We may need to alter the typical grooming process in order to help your dog.

In order to maintain your dog’s skin and coat you should have your pet groomed every four to six weeks by a professional, and, you should brush out your dog every week in between grooms. Without doing so, medium to long-coated dogs are prone to matting. By keeping your dog’s coat is in good “working condition” it helps to create a pleasant grooming experience for your dog and your groomer!

De-Matting Dogs
De-matting a dog’s coat causes the dog pain and sets the stage for a grooming experience not quickly forgotten. Imagine someone grabbing a fist full of your hair, gripping tightly and holding on all day. That’s what happens when a dog’s hair gets matted. The mats pull the hair so tight that the skin gets sore and sometimes even causes bleeding. And now, you’re having those mats pulled and tugged at until they’re all gone. “OUCH!”

De-matting a dog is very time consuming for the groomer and your price may be raised to compensate. If your dog is matted, speak to one of our groomers for alternatives to picking them out in order to reduce pain and irritability for your dog.
